We’ve been writing and recording new material as we prepare for our summer European tour, and we’ll be posting videos as we film them. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s maestro Chris Shocknesse laying down some bass lines on our new song “Catch Me.” Off-camera, you hear the voice of producer Bernie Penzias, and a chirp or two from Stephan as well.

Two tracks for $1.98 – pick it up, turn it up, and shake your moneymaker till it’s raining bills.

Socadia hits the road this summer though Austria fueled as always by copious amounts of Red Bull (Sugar Free, mostly). This time, Red Bull isn’t just giving us wiiiiings – it’s giving us a ride! Behold, the BRANDWAGEN.

Complete with a stage on the roof and a sound system that will wake neighbors for acres, this converted fire-truck is a full-fledged party on wheels. Who needs Xzibit when your tour bus is already this pimp?

Swing your sexy self on over to iTunes to pick up the latest Socadia release, [trees for the forest]. Or just click here.

The six-song release was self-produced, and recorded throughout 2009. Written and performed by Stephan Martin, Dusty Schaller, Laszlo Bolender, and Arturo Peraza, [trees] also features bassist Matt McJunkins (Puscifer, ASHES dIVIDE) and guitarist Steve Mazur (Our Lady Peace, Gabriel Mann).

Socadia has signed with licensing company MissNomers Music Services (www.MissNomersMusic.com).  The deal includes Socadia’s entire music catalog, including various remixes and alternate versions of songs.

Socadia will be joining a roster that also includes Hipjoint Music Group, Jupiter One, Signals, Rogue Lion, Nate Sylak, Melotia, and many more!

Stay tuned for placement news, folks!

European Tour

First dates for a summer European tour are confirmed.  Austria, here we come.  Details soon to follow…

Here’s the deal – show up to Bordello Bar on Feb 24, and tell the super awesome door person you’re there to see Socadia.  In exchange for five measly bucks, you’ll get into the show and be given a free copy of our new cd [trees for the forest].  How ’bout them apples?

For the wealthy, and-or people not spending all their cash on booze, we’ll also have Socadia t-shirts available.

Did we mention the free stickers?  How about the fact that Echoes de Luxe will be opening, and that Siren’s Eye will be playing immediately after us?

And the best part of all? Brand new, never-before-heard songs will be played live.  Don’t act like you’re not impressed.
